When a new lipstick launches from Charlotte Tilbury, the lipstick addict in me rushes to see what new delights we have before us. Step forward the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Look of Love Lipstick’ in ‘Nude Romance’.
Launching in the ever popular K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula, this peachy-nude shade has me asking the question….’Could this ‘Nude Romance Lipstick’ potentially be the Sister to the iconic Charlotte Tilbury pink-nude ‘Pillow Talk’ Lipstick? Let’s see…..

PACKAGING
In a new magical, bejewelled case. It feels like a regular Charlotte Tilbury lipstick has been rather bling’d up. In the signature Charlotte Tilbury rose gold case, the dainty diamanté detailing feels luxurious and its one that will certainly stand out on a dressing table amongst others.
What I also love about this lipstick is that its refillable. So you can keep this beautiful case and just purchase a lipstick bullet refill at a lesser cost when you next need a top up.
The Nude Romance Lipstick case is identical in size to the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Collection Lipsticks, so if you are familiar with those lipsticks you will know what to expect.
The lipstick bullet itself has the most beautiful embossed hearts on it which makes the product look so pretty. It’s almost like you don’t want to disturb the intricate design.
FORMULA
In the hugely popular Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula, one of my personal favourites of any brand. If you like a creamy, moisturising, hydrating lipstick feel, with a satin finish, then this is the formula for you.
It is such a beautiful formula, there’s a touch of shine without it being glossy or sticky, but it feels buttery and soft on the lips. Non-drying, easy to wear and that ‘Goldilocks’ formula between a matte and gloss.
The lipstick lasts well but it is a formula that will potentially require a top up through the day. Having said that when the packaging is this beautiful it makes it feel like a treat to top up to be honest.
Soft and smooth to apply. I always love the square angled lipstick bullet tip shape of these Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula lipsticks. As the tip mimics the shape of a lip brush it makes application really quick, easy and precise.
SHADE
Described as a ‘peachy-nude’ could the ‘Charlotte Tilbury Nude Romance’ Lipstick potentially be the Sister to the iconic and classic Pillow Talk?
Whilst Pillow Talk leans more pink, Nude Romance is certainly as described with the peach nod. Depending on your natural lip colour and skin tone will depend how this lipstick will show.
K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks all have a slight transparency in them which allows your natural lip colour to come through a little. Therefore on some people I imagine this to show as more nude in shade, on others more of a peach and others more of a burnt orangey brown.
On myself this lipstick wears more of a ‘deep peach-brown’. I do feel this is a great everyday lipstick, one that will be easy to wear regardless of makeup looks and one that is ageless.
It was actually a little deeper in shade on me than I expected it to be, which I much prefer. I love that its one that doesn’t wash my complexion out, it adds a pop of colour that is still very natural.
Subtle, yet sophisticated, great pigmentation and a great neutral for the Summer months ahead for sure.
COMPARISONS
CHARLOTTE TILBURY NUDE ROMANCE COMPARED TO PILLOW TALK
To compare to the original Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Pillow Talk. As mentioned above Pillow Talk is more of a ‘pink-nude’ whereas Nude Romance is a ‘peach-nude’. The formulas are different too. Whilst the original Pillow Talk formula is more of a creamy matte compared to the nourishing satin K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula of Nude Romance. I do find the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula lighter on my lips then the Matte Revolution (I do love both formulas though). Pillow Talk on me is always more of a mauve-pink, whereas Nude Romance on my lips I would describe as more of a deep peach-brown to be honest.
In my opinion if you are looking for a peach version of ‘Pillow Talk’ then ‘Nude Romance‘ could certainly be the lipstick for you.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY NUDE ROMANCE COMPARED TO OTHER LIPSTICKS
‘Nude Romance‘ is a deeper shade than ‘Nude Kate’ which I’ve never been able to wear as it adds no pop of colour to my face and actually drains me a bit. With ‘Nude Romance‘ I feel its much more flattering to my skin-tone.
‘Bitch Perfect‘ is more of what I would describe as ‘peach-nude’ shade to be honest. ‘Bitch Perfect‘ is a nude peach on my skin-tone, whereas ‘Nude Romance‘ is a deeper burnt peachy/brown.
I think ‘Nude Romance‘ is very comparable to ‘Very Victoria‘. Out of all the Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks I own, I would say ‘Nude Romance‘ is most similar to ‘Very Victoria‘. So if you like ‘Very Victoria‘ I think you would love ‘Nude Romance‘. Same as if you like ‘Birkin Brown/now called ‘So 90’s‘ or ‘Glowing Jen‘, I think this new lipstick could be a great one for you.
I’ve swatched 9 Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks so hopefully you can see a decent comparison, which I hope will help give a true picture of how ‘Nude Romance‘ compares to other shades in daylight.
WHERE TO PURCHASE
Currently priced at £28.00, the pricing is certainly on the highest end of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, similar to the Hot Lips 2 Collection. I’m not sure if the higher pricing is down to the packaging design case itself, or the fact that you can purchase refills in the future for it, meaning you pay the extra £3 now so in future your refills would only be £19.00….could be a combination of both reasons to be honest. For reference a standard non-refillable Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick is currently £25.00.
