As we wave goodbye to Summer and welcome the crispy leaves of Autumn its time to reach for the alarm clock, darker nights and cosy knits. Summer you have been full of sun, sand and sea for us (with the occasional downpour too) but now its back to reality and routine. Whether you vacationed or stay-cationed this Northern Hemisphere Summer we may well have been smothering our exposed skin in lotions, potions and scrubs but chances are we may have neglected our hair. I know for me Summer (and no school run) usually involved days of hair thrown in a ponytail or messy bun whilst we headed to the beach or just out and about, but more than likely my hair wasn’t treated to the same kind of attention that I paid to my skin. Now we are heading into Autumn and back into earlier mornings and school runs i.e seeing people I know everyday, I feel now is the perfect time to treat my hair to some much needed and much deserved TLC. I want my hair ready to take on the Autumn Weather and the inevitable central heating months that lay ahead.
The Giovanni Ultra Moist Hair Mask is currently restoring my hair after some Summer neglect – erasing the sun, sand, sea and chlorine from dried out tresses and treating them to some much needed hydration. Avocado and Olive Oil is good for the body and skin and the same applies to hair, this ultra moisturising mask is perfect for dry or damaged hair and for those just looking to give their hair that little extra boost of love. It not only helps to repair extreme damage it also revitalises over-processed hair, so there is help for those of us that colour our hair or use heated products such as straighteners on them often. As well as all of the above it claims to help prevent splits and breaks in the hair.
Overall Thoughts: After using this organic hair mask I could definitely feel a difference in the texture of my hair, it felt nourished, soft and moisturised and even though it sounds a little cliche it did provide that ‘salon hair’ feeling. I have fine hair but a lot of it so it can easily get rather knotted or look quite coarse and I felt this mask certainly helped to prevent this without leaving it greasy. The Giovanni Ultra-Moist hair mask seems to alleviate damage from hair colouring and I can see this working well on anyone with more frizz in their hair as well. So thankfully I do now feel like my hair has got the TLC it deserves without the salon price tag and its a mask I highly recommend for many hair types.
