The January’s Glossybox arrived on my doorstep like a boxed breathe of fresh air on a gloomy, cold Winters day. Whilst this month’s theme and products that awaited me wasn’t quite enough to banish the January Blues it certainly was a welcome sight.
Unani Dermo Defense Face Mask – I have to admit that being a Darphin crazed devotee when it comes to skincare I am always a little apprehensive to give other brands or products a try, however with this being a herbal-based mask ideal for sensitive skin I am looking forwards to this January tube of pampering. The product has two key missions, to care for your skin and to keep it protected. All this aids to ensure the complexion stays hydrated and nourished which will be surely welcomed by my skin from the combination of the cold Winter weather and indoor Central Heating. (Full size product: £11.36)
Teez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick – As soon as I opened the Glossybox this product excited me the most, largely down to the very snazzy (does anyone actually still use that word?) and eye-catching packaging. The Lipstick is long and thin just like the packaging and is actually a really wearable coral shade, not necessarily one I would wear in Winter but certainly one to keep for when the weather warms up. On swatch its highly pigmented with a creamy texture and satin finish. With added Coconut Oil this should hopefully keep my lips nicely hydrated. (Full size product: £11.93)
Glossybox Eyeshadow in Glossy Mauve – Glossybox’s own eyeshadow in a rich mauve shade, I am impressed by the size of the eyeshadow and love the satin finish. Not a shade I reach for often but one I will certainly enjoying playing around with both dry and wet to create different looks. (Full size product: £7.10)
Angele Paris Red Nail Lacquer – I have to confess that red nails really aren’t my thing, they can look so classic and timeless on other people but I just don’t like the look on me at all so this product is going straight in my kit. It is a beautiful red and on a winters day I can see this looking so clear and crisp on the nail through the white snow. It claims to be long-lasting and I adore the the design on the bottle. (Full size product: £6.32)
Madara Cellular Repair Serum – This serum from the natural and ecological ethos brand is said to contain a cell repairing bio-complex alongside revitalising birch juice which should plump the skin whilst boosting hydration and radiance. This can be worn over or under your daily/nightly moisturiser and I eagerly await to see how this wonder works. (Full size product: £38.00)
All in all this month’s Glossybox was a welcomed Winter warmer to inject some glow into my dull Wintery skin. I like that they have added pops of colour in the January box to help brighten us all up after the Holiday Season blues. Not my favourite box but still a lovely selection and some interesting products.
