With Spring finally in the air and Summer but a whisper away, March’s ‘Get Glowing’ themed Glossybox is a perfectly timed surprise. A welcome retreat for my skin to grab back that glow into my complexion Winter seems to have stolen, this box features some travel-friendly sized products that should help to combat my Easter Egg over indulgence that is already in full swing.
Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum – I do receive quite a few serums with Glossybox but the fact that this shouts ‘Honey’ I instantly know its going to be a kind one for my skin. This light serum packed with natures goodness including honey and vitamin E, is meant to replenish and protect the skin leaving a glowing complexion. I like the tube pointed packaging as it allows more control over the amount used to avoid wastage.
Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream – For such a well known brand I actually haven’t used an Olay product for quite some time, years and years infact. I remember Olay being the very first skincare brand I ever used when I was pretty young so this month’s second skincare product holds a little nostalgia for me. This face cream has been created to hydrate, exfoliate and smooth out the skin tone including dark spots and discolouration to leave a healthy glowing complexion. It does claim to do quite alot so will have to see if this lives up to their claims.
Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush (504) – Who doesn’t love to receive a shiny new face brush and when its rose gold even more so! I was delighted to see a makeup brush in this months box, I love angled face brushes, I use them daily on myself and on my clients for blushers, highlighters and bronzers and this very pretty looking brush looks ideal for all of the above. The brush itself feels soft and gentle on the skin and I look forward to sampling this treat which I am sure will get plenty of use.
So Susan Light Diffuser – I was a little disappointed I received this product over the Collection Speedy Highlight Stick that others received in their boxes but that’s the luck of the draw with Glossybox sometimes you win sometimes you don’t so much. This product is a highlight and contour in one but unfortunately on swatching the contour colour looks way too dark for my pale skin, the highlight part looks pretty though so I might pop this in my makeup drawer and try again when I have a tan. It does however have a chocolate smell which I like especially for Easter.
417 Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo and Conditioner – These are a great addition to this month’s box because the size of them are so travel friendly, perfect for upcoming nights away. I do love my Aussie haircare products especially when it comes to shampoo’s and conditioners so it will be interesting to see if these can tempt me away from the Aussies. The Conditioner is to be left on for 5 minutes before rinsing so that might have to be tried when I am not in my usual daily rush but this vitamins and essential oils duo will certainly be tested well.
March’s Glossybox brought in some nice treats, I especially love the face brush and the shampoo and conditioner duo, a tad miffed I missed out on the Collection Highlighter which I feel would have suited my skin tone better over the So Susan product, but overall a nice alternative to a more makeup based box.
