If you have followed me for a while then you will know I am a huge La Mer advocate.
I know their products are on the pricey side but the quality, the texture and performance of their luxurious products, I find to be very hard to beat.
My favourite La Mer product is ‘The Concentrate‘ which is a stunning and wonderful little pot of skincare magic. (I have a full review of this product you can read by clicking here). This pot of skincare goodness is without a shadow of a doubt my ‘Desert Island must-have’. In fact it is my favourite skincare product of any brand.
So you can imagine my delight when I was very kindly sent the new La Mer ‘The Eye Concentrate‘ to try for 21 days. I was incredibly excited to see how this product would and could work for me. And here’s how I found the La Mer The Eye Concentrate….
LA MER THE EYE CONCENTRATE..WHAT’S INSIDE?
Available in a 15ml size (£185) with the signature La Mer packaging, I have to say that this is the perfect size for the dressing table and travel pouch alike. The La Mer ‘The Eye Concentrate’ comes with a silver-tipped hygienic applicator that helps the product feel even more luxurious, whilst also helping you reach the full potential with the application of this product.
The La Mer The Eye Concentrate contains triple the concentrated Miracle Broth™, which is a deeply nourishing La Mer patented skincare ingredient that helps to soften, smooth and hydrate the skin. Which in turn helps the renewal for smoother, brighter looking eyes. Other ingredients include ‘Lime Tea Concentrate’, which aids to preserve the skin’s youthful beauty. And ‘Recovery Kelp’ which has been sourced from the pure waters of South Korea’s Jeju Island, and aids in the restoration of balance for a revitalised, strong appearance.
APPLICATION
I like to take a small pea-sized amount of La Mer The Eye Concentrate and apply as three small dots under each eye.
Next I use the silver-tipped applicator and following the contour of each eye. I glide the applicator in small circles under and around the eyes, and up to the end of my eyebrows.
The silver-tipped, hygienic applicator is designed to help increase circulation and cool any surface inflammation and it really does feel so cooling and luxurious to use. Like a treat for your eyes which is the perfect ‘pick me up’ in a morning, and the perfect ‘soothing and relaxing’ calm-down feeling in the evening.
TEXTURE
Smooth, cooling and gentle. The texture feels so soft on the skin and is that perfect balance of being not too thin so its not greasy or runny in consistency. Whilst also being not too thick so it doesn’t take long at all to absorb. Instead its that perfect ‘goldilocks’ velvety balance.
In fact the cream absorbs really quickly without any greasy, heavy or sticky residue. Its a wonderful consistency and I especially love that it works to diminish the signs of ageing.
IN LOVE..AND HERE’S WHY..
This fast absorbing eye cream has helped to reduce the appearance of dark circles and lines and I cannot get enough! As I’m now in my 40’s my skin is certainly a lot drier and the fine lines are becoming ever deeper with each year, especially around my eye area. So this is a pot of eye cream magic!
Over the past 21 days I have noticed that my eyes appear more awake, the lines are not as prominent and the skin around my eye area appears smoother and a lot more refreshed. My skin is firmer and I especially love that a little seems to go a long way. So the pot of eye magic will last for quite some time, which makes that extra splurge even better.
If you are familiar with the La Mer ‘The Concentrate’ then the ‘Eye Concentrate’ has that same super-soft, like the ‘finest velvet’ or ‘finest silk’ feeling, but in a more concentrated texture. It glides onto the skin so weightlessly and so gently, and its just a pleasure to use each day.
This is one eye cream that really does show the effects and in the most wonderful way. I experienced no irritation on my sensitive skin. And I now cannot imagine that my skincare routine will be complete without the La Mer The Eye Concentrate.
I had a feeling I would like this product because of how much I like the La Mer ‘The Concentrate’, but I have fallen completely in LOVE with this La Mer ‘The Eye Concentrate’. I think its safe to say it has joined its fellow ‘The Concentrate’ onto my ‘Desert Island must haves’. Thank you La Mer!
