One of the many things I love about being a Beauty Blogger is discovering ‘new to me’ brands. Maiiro is one of those brands, and I am so happy to have been introduced to this eco friendly and environmentally conscious company. In particular the wonderful face cream that is ‘Maiiro Anti Blemish Cream’.
ABOUT MAIIRO THE COMPANY
The female-founded brand created in Guernsey, is proud to promote the organic, vegan, sustainable, recyclable array of products that are not tested on animals. The company is very much about harnessing the power and beauty of the sea, to combine ‘nature’s beauty’ into carefully produced beauty products. Their aim is to help skin look and feel better, naturally.
Whilst on the journey to create Maiiro, they formulated their signature ingredient ‘Kelpogen5™’ to harness the full power of seaweed. Which is a skincare superfood that gives all our complexions the protection and nourishment they need to look their best for all ages and skin types.
Maiiro uses only sustainable harvesting methods to collect the seaweeds, to ensure the delicate ecological balance of the ocean is represented and preserved.
MAIIRO ANTI BLEMISH CREAM
As someone who has suffered with acne on and off most of my adult life (largely down to having hypothyroidism). When my skin is flaring up or going through a total breakout I know how down and self conscious it can make you feel.
I’ve tried quite a few well known ‘anti-blemish’ lines over the years, many of which have actually made my skin worse. They have either been too harsh, too drying or they just seem to aggravate the skin and strip it of any glow or radiance.
It’s wonderful to discover an anti-blemish cream that is gentle, kind and comforting for my troubled skin and I’m so happy to have found that with the Maiiro Anti Blemish Cream.
A light-weight, calming moisturiser that instantly helps to smooth and hydrate irritated skin. The all natural solution is recommended for anyone suffering from irritated, blemish-prone or reactive-flush skin.
The Maiiro Anti Blemish Cream promotes healing and restores balance, meaning its great for those experiencing excessive oiliness, dry-ness, flare-ups like I get quite often with acne, or if you suffer with rosacea, eczema or psoriasis.
Featuring a super healing blend of Kelpogen5™ with added Astaxanthin, alongside antioxidant vitamin E and C. With Fenugreek Seed Oil to reduce impurities and Liquorice Root Extract to help calm inflammation.
Powerful natural ingredients that are kind to the skin, rather that stripping or aggravating the skin further.
In a beautiful, weighty 50ml glass jar with a screw top lid (£65.00). I love the adorable little wooden white crate style box the glass jar comes in. No plastic packaging in sight, which the company feel very strongly about and it’s so refreshing and reassuring to see. Having used the Maiiro Anti Blemish Cream for a couple of months now I have been seriously impressed. I think this cream has been giving a thorough testing thanks to the UK lockdown. More stress, lack of fresh air and exercise. It’s been quite a couple of months for many of us hasn’t it? I know for myself, all of that gets reflected in my skin. So its been wonderful to have a product to reach for to counter balance that.
I like to use this in the evening, although you can certainly use this am or pm, or both. I’ve found you don’t need much as it is quite concentrated and I find you do need a few minutes to work the product into the skin. It feels comforting, it feels natural and it feels so welcoming.
I like that it is fragrance-free and it doesn’t clog my pores. It just feels like a bit of a relief for my irritated and acne-prone skin. It’s certainly helped to calm my acne breakouts, whilst still hydrating and moisturising the skin in a gentle way.
I’m certainly keen to try more products from Maiiro now and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a more eco conscious company. I think they are a very special brand indeed and one we will all be hearing a lot more about.
