Kicking off a new series on my Blog with ‘Brand Focus’ posts. Where better to start than with a brand that creates ‘THE’ most beautiful vintage inspired dresses in my opinion. When I think of fabulous, unique dresses and outfits….Traffic People Clothing springs to mind in an instant.
I remember years ago browsing their rails of stunning pieces every chance I could during my lunch breaks when I worked by Spitalfields Old Market in London, with the vintage car outside the store. Their boutique style store was like a treasure trove of dresses and outfits that I would lust after (and wait patiently until payday to purchase).
Years on, I still adore their unique collections and the fun element they bring. Their unique detailing and prints, the style of the clothing and the quality is what makes Traffic People so individual. With their vintage inspired fashion that is both contemporary and creative, plus a little edgy. I especially love their nod to the 70s disco glamour era in a lot of their clothing. I love anything with a 70’s vintage inspired element. 20’s, 30’s, 50’s, you name it, you will find it here in their distinctive way.
NO MASS PRODUCTION HERE….
One of the stand out elements for me about the brand Traffic People is that their clothing is not mass produced. They have a small in-house design team and sometimes just 50 pieces will be created and produced of one design. Which makes it so much more unique in today’s mass production market. I always feel that when you purchase a Traffic People item of clothing the chance of you actually seeing someone else in the same clothes is going to be rather slim. This makes it so much more of a boutique, unique and personal shopping experience, in my opinion.
BROWSE THE BRAND
Below are some of my current favourite picks from Traffic People. I find their sizing to be pretty much true to size if sometimes more on the generous side. Their collections are available worldwide and can also be found online at Zalando, Silk-Fred and Harvey Nichols, as well as selected stores and boutiques.
